An opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound General Imaging Specialist with a strong background in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) ultrasound to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This travel position is located in Hollywood, FL, and requires advanced critical thinking, effective communication, and decisive judgment while performing complex diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patient requisitions, indications, and exams required to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
- Collaborate with medical staff and MFM physicians to clarify exam requirements as necessary.
- Perform detailed fetal anatomy assessments across all trimesters, identifying abnormalities through a thorough investigative approach.
- Conduct Doppler studies, including umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery, and ductus venosus, understanding clinical indications.
- Evaluate multiple gestations, determining chronicity and amnionicity accurately.
- Execute diagnostic transvaginal ultrasounds with precision.
- Ideally perform and interpret 3D imaging studies.
- Provide guidance and assistance during diagnostic procedures such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS), amniocentesis, and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ultrasound techniques through continuous medical education.
- Travel reliably between various clinic sites as required.
- Operate Voluson Expert 22 BT24 USA ultrasound equipment proficiently.
- Adapt to potential variable shifts to meet clinical demands.
Qualifications
- Proficient in advanced ultrasound techniques, particularly in maternal-fetal medicine.
- Solid understanding of fetal anatomy, Doppler studies, and diagnostic transvaginal ultrasound.
- Experience with 3D imaging interpretation preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Reliable transportation to accommodate travel between multiple clinic locations.
